Warm up with this delicious bowl of my blonde take on classic french onion soup!
You will need:
Slice your Onions - I like to make mine a little thinker - and a lil' more meaty!
Saute > Oil, Butter, & Sliced Onions - 10 mins
Add Dry Spices > Stir & Simmer - 5 mins
De-glaze > Use sauces & beer to pick up those tasty tidbits from the bottom of your pot.
Simmer > Add in stock cubs & water- 25 min.
Use your choice of bread. I had Jalepeno and Onion Crostini Crackers on hand (shown below) - but honestly, if you just want to use a piece of toast - go for it!
Melt about 1/2 cup grated cheese using your broiler. Using a spatula, lift onto and top your bowl of soup!
Garnish > with green onions/chives
